Overview
7th "MinD-Akademie" on the Subject "Time" in Nuremberg from 2 to 5 October, 2008
The MinD-Akademie is the main event of the MHN (Mensa Higher Education Network) for pupils, undergraduate and graduate students as well as young professionals. In October 2008, it will take place for the 7th time already. The happening’s venue this year is Nuremberg, where the youth hostel, a medieval castle, will give us the opportunity to have all activities in one place and dive into a common academy life.
More than 60 presentations and workshops will offer different insights into the main theme, „time“, from the perspectives of the natural and technical sciences, of philosophy, the social sciences, psychology, or from a practical point of view. Beyond the limits of the main theme, the Open-MinD postersession awaits your contribution in the form of a poster or information stand.
Other than our own members, we are happy to present as speakers a number of renowned personalities - e.a. the present Nobel Prize laureate in physics, Professor Peter Grünberg, will give a keynote lecture. The academy takes place under the patronage of the German Federal Minister for Education and Research, Dr. Annette Schavan.
Apart from high quality presentations, there will be an exciting social programme, giving us the opportunity for cultural activities, talks, games and common experiences. We will be very happy to welcome you there, as well!
